This property is about 25 miles outside of Cedar City. The first 10 miles are paved roads and then the road follows the Old Spanish Trail, which is a well graded dirt road. At times the road is a little washboard with some potholes, but it is passable by any vehicle. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the property from Cedar City and there are several art installations along the way.
Electrical lines are about 1.5 miles away. There are a couple of houses about 2 miles to the West and irrigated farmland to the south about 1 mile. Most of the dwellings have above ground water storage.
While driving to the property I saw Wild Turkeys, Rabbits, and Lizards. The soil is very sandy and is covered with prairie grass and brush. The nearby hills have lots of juniper trees. I saw several mining operations leading up to the property.
Cedar City is the home of a world famous Shakespeare Festival. There is a replica Bard Theatre that was recently built. St. George is 45 miles South of Cedar City and has a very moderate climate where many retired couples spend their winters. Just outside of Cedar City is the north entrance to Zion National Park and Kolob Canyon. The Mighty 5 National Parks are close and boast some of the most beautiful natural views in the world.
